Discovering HIPAA® Training Series Facts

- The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
was passed by Congress in 1996 and established a set of rules
for covered entities under HIPAA.
- Covered entities under HIPAA must provide training to employees
regarding the privacy, confidentiality, and security of health
care information by April 14, 2003 (small health plans April
14, 2004).
- HDM's Discovering HIPAA® Training Series is a unique,
interactive software program that goes beyond teaching the basics
of HIPAA and helps employees learn how to apply HIPAA to their
